Omaha, NEB - QuikServe Solutions has successfully completed the Payment Card Industry (PCI) evaluation for payment card data security. Successful completion of the PCI evaluation is testament that the independent software vendor's (ISV) hardware and software meet the PCI Data Security Standard (DSS) set by the PCI Security Standards Council.

The PCI-DSS, endorsed by American Express, Discover Financial Services, Visa Inc., MasterCard Worldwide and JCB International, requires merchants and service providers that store, process or transmit customer payment card data to adhere to information security controls and processes that ensure data integrity. The evaluation is an independent, third-party assessment by a Qualified Security Assessor (QSA) who is trained to make these evaluations according to the PCI Security Standards Council. The QSA files a Report on Validation (ROV) on behalf of QuikServe Solutions stating that the company is in compliance with PCI security standards. The ROV is then reviewed and approved by the Security Standards Council.

QuikServe Solutions maintains a Payment Application Data Security Standard (PA-DSS) validation; a program that includes requirements for encryption and storing of cardholder data by payment applications, such as point of sale (POS) systems sold and supported by QuikServe Solutions. The PA-DSS is just one part of the PCI-DSS requirements, which differ based on a merchant's classification and is influenced by a merchant's annual volume of transactions per card type.

Omaha, NEB - Over the past 12 months, Taco John's International, based out of Cheyenne, Wyoming, has been conducting a request for proposal (RFP) in regards to the point of sale (POS) and back of house (BOH) technologies used in their 400+ quick service restaurants. QuikServe Solutions, along with over a dozen other nationally recognized restaurant technology companies, responded to this very detailed RFP. From that group of a dozen plus firms, seven were chosen who then demonstrated their products and capabilities to corporate representatives as well as a couple franchisees for review and analysis. Finally, the choice was narrowed to two vendors for further detailed discussions and project development.
